Bittersweet

I mark the change of seasons, the passing of another year by ritualized activities.
The beginning of the holiday season starts with the yearly hike, to our favorite spot in the woods,
where we clip long vines of bittersweet, under the watchful eye of our family Black Labrador Retriever.
The brightly colored, red and saffron yellow, berries decorate the gallery window every November,
just in time for our holiday gift order deliveries.
