Eric Parnes is an Iranian-American artist that incorporates the question of identity into all of his works. Here Parnes has chosen the subject of Western commercialism and it's potential influence and introduction into the East. Parnes uses the most recognizable icon juxtaposed to a minaret, much like a contemporary cityscape with towering financial buildings looming over church steeples.
